This structure functions as a bird blind near a local bird watching region. The curved roof is an exercise in finding form through structure. The form of the roof takes cues from the coastline, as the blind located just off of the water. The roof has one language, which defines space through its columns, while the ground plane has a second language, defined through multiple levels and the blind fence.

As the culmination of my first semester in architecture school, I designed a project as a purely form-finding exercise, without a reliance on material, program, or a specific site. This archive houses theatrical texts within the earth, while the roof is multi-level to allow impromptu performance spaces. This simple project includes ideas of stacking modules, occupiable roofs, and the use of outdoor space as footprint to minimize building footprint.
